Tens of thousands of Bahrainis demonstrated on Friday to demand democratic reforms, stepping up pressure on the U.S.-allied government with the biggest protest yet in a year of unrest.

Bahrain crackdown continues.

“Thirteen doctors and nurses who treated anti-government protesters given 15-year jail terms for crimes against state.”

I pray for the men and women who are being subjugated to such an intense persecution for providing humanitarian services. Yet the US does and says nothing about it due to the fact that they are a key ally in protecting oil interests in the gulf. Our Navy’s 5th fleet is stationed there yet did nothing when the Bahrain government commenced its crackdowns of protests that erupted during the advent of the Arab Spring.

Lets not forget our brothers and sisters in Yemen and the rest of the Arab Spring

At least 21 people have been killed and over 100 injured in fresh clashes on the streets of the Yemeni capital, Sanaa, a day after 26 anti-government protesters were shot dead and hundreds wounded by troops and gunmen loyal to President Ali Abdullah Saleh. (Source)

Let rise up in solidarity with our brothers and sisters in the Middle East. Let us not forget the brutal crackdowns that happened in Bahrain. And why did we not hear about these crackdowns in American media? Well that is because the US Navy 5th fleet is stationed there to protect US oil interests in the gulf.

Stand together.
